Mike took an old bath that needed a lot of help and made it beautiful. Mike stripped everything out to the studs and started over. Some sub-floor and joists near the toilet also needed to be replaced. He put in a new bathtub, sink, cabinet, toilet, pocket door, window and linen closet. He installed the drywall, trim and wainscoting. He installed the tub/shower tile with a niche and accent tiles and floor tile. The renovation changed the layout a little and Mike worked out the design details and suggested the color scheme. This full renovation was more scope the Mike typically does, but he pulled it off at the right price and in the scheduled time frame.

Mike has done several jobs for us. He is dependable and shows up when he is suppose to. Was very open to ideas and willing to do what the client wanted and not what HE wanted...but would also give his professional opinion if he didn't think things would work. His work was professional and we would hire him again without question.

Michael has done 2 different tile jobs for me in the past and his attention to detail is amazing. Not only is the quality that of an incredible skilled artisan, but we are several years from those jobs and they still look as though they were just finished. I couldn't recommend his services enough as he is an outstanding Master carpenter and top notch experienced tile installer. I would definitely recommend Troila Renovations services to anyone looking for the perfect floor or shower install in the future.
We hired Mike several weeks ago to completely demolish our kitchen and bathroom and rebuild them.
We met with several contractors before we decided who we wanted to go with, as it's a big expense and disruption, and we wanted to make sure it was done well. Mike and his wife Darlene, (who helps with the business) were very personable. They were prompt and thorough when we initially met with them. They got us a quote within a couple of days.
Mike shared a lot of thoughts based on his experience during the design process, but always made it clear that in the end, choices were ours to make. He provided us with options on where to obtain building materials, balancing quality and price, working to stay within our budget. The places he directed us were fabulous to work with as well. He was always readily available to answer questions via text or email. He coordinated all of the subcontractors, everything was so easy.
Mike is scheduled to finish up this week. His workmanship has been very quality and exceptional. He is a perfectionist, and clearly takes pride in his work - he gets just as excited as his clients to see things coming together.
He did not get frustrated with the few blips we had (not his fault) and happily accommodated a few changes we made.
He stays on the job from start to finish and has been right on schedule, communicating any changes, even slight ones. Everything was clean in our home at the end of every day and while we could have felt frustrated with everything being uprooted, his crew has taken care to be minimally invasive.
A big concern of mine was that we have indoor-only cats and with everyone coming in and out, I was afraid they may escape. I needn’t have worried, everyone was very careful to make sure they were always safe and accounted for.
I would not hesitate to recommend Troila Renovations to anyone, and we will absolutely hire them again for future projects! Everything is beautiful and we love our new rooms!

We absolutely love the job Mike did with our complex tile backsplash. He was able to artfully blend different size/depth/material tiles in a seamless transition. He also did a wonderful job with our tin tile inlay piece behind the stove. He was always there when he said he would be and always left the area clean. So happy with the job and can't wait to tackle our upstairs baths. He has great ideas and is very engaged with what we are looking for. I am a bit fussy and detail oriented so working with Mike was a pleasure. The outcome is beautiful and we get so many compliments on it. Will absolutely be doing business with him in the future.

I am over the moon with the work Mike did! He came in and installed a marble herringbone tile backsplash in my kitchen. I had several other contractors refused to touch it and turned the job away. I am so thankful that I found Mike's company online. He was on time, professional and worked extremely fast considering all the small pieces and detail that needed to be cut and laid out due to all my outlets. I knew the tile I selected was a pain but I absolutely love it. A HUGE thank you to Mike for doing such an amazing job while still being, what I thought, was very affordable and reasonable on his price for such detailed work. We have had Mike and Darlene (his handy right hand woman) do multiple jobs for us over the years. From small jobs to bigger jobs Mike has always done them with professionalism but at the same time listens to what we want and makes sure that we are happy with the work. After buying an older home and living there for 4 years, my wife and I were anxious to re-do our old kitchen. Mike came out and designed and re-designed and then completed our dream kitchen. The White cabinets are fantastic and the back splash he installed is amazing. He is very very polite and friendly. We were so happy with the kitchen, we have other remodel projects lined up with him already.I highly recommend him for any home remodel project.
